Lets be honest. I started AJRphotography back in 2008 to get into concerts for free. I've loved music my whole life and have been holding a camera almost as long as that, so shooting shows in order to see my favorite acts up close was a natural path.
As my taste for music developed, and my experience behind the lens at live events grew, I eventually transitioned into photographing the EDM space at the brink of it's massive explosion. Riding the wave of this phenomena, I found myself at clubs across the east coast: From Royale Boston, to Mansion Miami. The AJR name has been honored to grace the stages of massive festivals such as Ultra and Electric Zoo, and even to travel the country alongside Identity Festival's 15 city 2012 summer tour as it's official photographer.
In the past year, I've contributed to countless publications synonymous with both EDM and music as whole, including Rolling Stone, MTV News, Elektro Magazine, DJ Times, Mix Mag, The Village Voice and tons of other online publications and blogs. I've had the amazing opportunity to work directly with many of the key players in the field, from A-Trak to Zedd, and many in between. Based in new York City, I'm constantly surrounded by new and innovative talent and events, and maintain a photography residency as part of the team at the famed Pacha NYC.
As the world of Electronic Music grows, I intend to grow the AJR brand with it, providing intimate and expressive photos to the masses.
